IGRT-ready radiation therapy treatment system. Centers that want their patients to benefit from the precision and effectiveness of Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT) have a convenient two-step option to realize this goal at a time of their choosing. Elekta Synergy Platform is designed to enable straightforward integration of the key imaging technologies that will transform an advanced linear accelerator into an IGRT system.

This upgrade allows clinicians to bring image guidance into the treatment set up process – with the patient in the treatment position and just moments before therapy. The integrated imaging workflow in Elekta Synergy has enabled clinicians, on a daily basis, to correct patient setup errors due to organ motion and increase treatment accuracy. Imaging tools include 3D volumetric cone beam imaging for soft tissue visualization; 2D real-time, fluoroscopic-like imaging for targets that move frequently; and 2D kV imaging for standard planar imaging.

Elekta Synergy Platform also features sophisticated ultra-conformal field shaping with a fully integrated multileaf collimator, in addition to a 40 x 40 cm uninterrupted field size to simplify and refine treatment of larger-field targets.
